38 Head of home based ECD of Bushoki sector, Tare AP were trained on health, hygiene and sanitation to promote children’s health through PDH project.

Date: 19/3/2025: The training aimed at equipping knowledge  on health ,hygiene and sanitation to the participants to ensure proper  functionality of ECDs in promoting children’s health

– Six pillars of ECD: health, nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), parenting education, and child protection & inclusion.

– Hygiene in prevention of malnutrition

– ECDs in promoting children’s well being

– Activities done in ECD’

Participants have been reminded on the key messages on each topic discussed to support behavior change that is a common challenge that hinders the promotion of child’s health in our communities.

After the training participants were given ECD materials to support functionality of ECDs including cooking and hygiene materials.
