On August 2nd, 2025, during World Breastfeeding Week, Caritas Byumba in collaboration with World Vision Rwanda convened a Nutrition Dialogue at Musenyi Health Center in Mutete Sector. The discussion emphasized breastfeeding as a powerful tool in the fight against child malnutrition, especially within the first 1,000 days of life—a critical window for growth and development. Participants reflected on the local realities of rural livelihoods, challenges of limited dietary diversity, and persistent cases of undernutrition. The event provided a platform for parents, health workers, and community leaders to share experiences and reaffirm the importance of breastfeeding in securing a healthier future for children.
