In November 2023, the UK Government hosted the Global Food Security Summit in London with a mission to address the global food security crisis, advance progress towards Zero Hunger, and end malnutrition (SDG 2) through sustainable solutions. The summit focused on four key themes: New approaches to ending preventable deaths of children Anticipating and preventing famine and food security crises Building a climate-resilient, sustainable agriculture and food system Harnessing science and technology for food security Ahead of the summit, World Vision UK organised a virtual workshop with members of its Youth Advocacy Network to discuss these themes and the global challenges young people face around food insecurity and nutrition. The session also gathered innovative ideas and solutions from youth advocates on how decision-makers could improve food security and nutrition. This discussion yielded a wealth of qualitative insights, outlining the concrete steps and commitments that young people from six countries want to see from world leaders to end hunger, combat malnutrition, and ensure that every child has access to nutritious food.
<thumbnail_url>https://nutritiondialogues.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Youth_Advocacy_Logo_02-2.jpg</thumbnail_url></oembed>
