Description
After almost 20 years since the end of the civil war in Angola, the province of Huambo is still in recovery, as it was one of the most devastated during that period. The multidimensional poverty indices are quite high, and various socioeconomic factors contribute to this. There is a high prevalence of orphans in the region. Access to water is one of the constant challenges, and school dropout rates are also a concern. Child malnutrition is highly prevalent, and discovering the factors that lead to this through the Nutrition Dialogues is the goal of the meetings held in the region. Understanding how children experience nutrition can help us advocate for improvements in food security.
