Description
The Nutrition Dialogues Children’s Workshops to be held in Maliana town, Parish Church of Father Manuel Luis of Maliana Diocese are meetings between children between 13-17 years old from the Basic School of Pe. Manuel Luis, around 40 students (20 female, and 20 males) where there were encouraged to talk about and think about solutions to malnutrition.
The workshop was conducted through a presentation from the local Nutritionist form the Ministry of Health and a focus group discussion to discuss the following:
- Encourage the active participation of children and young people in a child-friendly conversation to share perceptions, ideas and potential actions to improve children’s nutrition in the community.
- Support children and young people to build a shared purpose about what they want to achieve on nutrition in the coming years.
The workshop was held in coordination with the Parish Priests, Teachers, parents, local government stakeholders and World Vision Timor-Leste.
