The dialogue forms part of the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Nutrition Dialogues and contributes to broader discussions on Namibia’s food and nutrition security agenda. It connects with Namibia’s National Food and Nutrition Security Policy, Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6) and Strategy for the Transformation of the Agri-Food Sector (STAS), while bringing together stakeholders from government, civil society, research, agriculture, development partners and youth.

Description
The dialogue will explore Namibia’s journey towards food self-sufficiency and sustainable agricultural production. Discussions will focus on local food production, sustainable farming practices, indigenous crops and knowledge, seed saving, soil health, climate resilience, post-harvest losses, value chains and opportunities for youth and farmers. The dialogue will also consider how Government, civil society, private sector and development partners can work together to strengthen Namibia’s food systems.
