Description
On 5th August 2024, World Vision Vietnam collaborated with National Institute of Nutrition to conducted an stakeholders dialogue through a panel discussion of experts (UNICEF, National Institute of Nutrition; Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; SUN CSA Vietnam; influencers and representative of mother in community) during the ENOUGH Launching Event. The dialogue have main focus on addressing child malnutrition in Vietnam, especially in mountainous areas and ethnic minorities.
The ENOUGH campaign launching event in Vietnam aims to 1) Raise awareness and secure commitments from individuals, organisations, and government agencies and 2) Mobilize stakeholders to address malnutrition and fostering collaborative actions.
During this dialogue, representatives of children in 2 provinces presented messages and recommendations on child nutrition to the government agencies. Furthermore, an MOU agreed between World Vision Vietnam and the National Institute of Nutrition – Ministry of Health, outlines a three-year partnership that includes providing local-level support and promoting nutrition dialogues. These efforts highlight Vietnam’s strong commitment to improving children’s nutrition, particularly in ethnic minority areas.
The launching event engaged about 100 partners from Ministries, Provincial and district partners; community members and children; UNs, Embassies, CSOs, Corporates, Celebrities to participate and share their commitment by signing a pledge to end malnutrition among children.
