Ahead of the 2025 Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit in Paris, GAIN Kenya and key partners in government, civil society and private sector, play a key role in supporting global planning and raising awareness for country and private sector engagement. In Kenya, thus GAIN and partners aim to facilitate consultative meetings to strengthen the country’s commitments to N4G. The October 2024 meeting, organized by the Ministry of Health, SUN CSA, GAIN and partners, focused on integrating nutrition into health programs and preparing stakeholders for the summit. The highlighted critical areas for this second national level consultation meeting held was; including discussions on resilient nutrition, enabling improved stakeholder collaborations, and aligning N4G commitments with Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) framework. The discussion essentially emphasized disease prevention, primary healthcare priorities, and integrating nutrition into healthcare systems. The end goal was to develop a roadmap for Kenya’s N4G commitments, and enhance stakeholder understanding, ensuring coordinated engagement before, during and post the summit.
